Cemetery Prayer Service

We begin with the Sign of the Cross...

Leader: Our help is in the name of the Lord

Response: Who made Heaven and Earth

All: God our Father, Your power brings us to birth, Your providence guides our lives, and by Your command we return to dust.

Lord, those who die still live in Your presence, their lives change but do not end. I pray in hope for my family, relatives and friends, and for all the dead known to You alone.

In company with Christ, who died and now lives, may they rejoice in Your kingdom, where all our tears are wiped away. Unite us together again in one family, to sing Your praise forever and ever.

Let us end this prayer service honoring the souls who have passed before us. Eternal rest grant unto them O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May their souls and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace. Amen.

*Our Lady of Medjugorje asked us to pray the following each day for the poor souls: 7 Our Fathers; 7 Hail Mary's; 7 Glory Be's.

(You may pray these now or on your own as you choose.)
