OUR LAY DOMINICAN CHAPTER
Located in Evansville, IN, in the Central Dominican Province of St. Albert the Great, our chapter currently has approximately sixty-five members, in various stages of profession.

February 4, 2019
Louisville, Kentucky: A group of us were considered to be a “general affiliation” of the parent Lay Dominican chapter of Our Lady Queen of Peace in Louisville, Kentucky. We were under their direct authority and working as a “transitory structure” of the Louisville chapter. On this day, seven members made their temporary profession.

Evansville, Indiana: St. Albert the Great – Central Province - Complementary Dominican Communities: The first members of the Evansville chapter of the Lay Dominican Fraternity, The Woman Clothed With the Sun Chapter, pose on their profession day with Bishop Joseph Siegel, Bishop of Evansville; Father Anthony Breen, OP, and their clerical counterparts, the priests and deacons who are the founders of the Mary Mediatrix Chapter of the Priestly Fraternities of St. Dominic in the Diocese of Evansville. Bishop Siegel’s support of this double foundation has been deeply appreciated since its inception.
The Lay Fraternity of St. Dominic Chapter, “The Woman Clothed With the Sun”, welcomed nine new Perpetual Professed members into its local Evansville fraternity on August 2, 2025. Pictured below are the new and existing Perpetual Professed members, totaling twenty-four, along with several members of the Mary Mediatrix Priestly Fraternity.
